I am please to announce that the third annual Auntie’s Day, sponsored by SavvyAuntie.com, will take place on Sunday, July 24, 2011!

Auntie’s Day is the annual celebration of all the Aunties by Relation, Auntie’s by Choice, godmothers and all women who love children not-their-own for all that they do for the children in their lives.

I am new to the SavyAuntie website, and just heard about this. I’m so thrilled that such a day exists! I have developed an extreme dislike for Mother’s Day because my husband and I have been told we likely won’t ever have children, and I always wished there was a day to celebrate people like me, who become “aunts”. Now there is! This is wonderful!
